Trainings for Romani women

Within the framework of realization of “Partnership for all” project which is being supported by the European Commission, on August 28-30 in the city of Kropyvnickiy we held two trainings for Romani women, NGOs representatives and Roma activists.

The trainings program included:

  • Human Rights.
  • Mechanisms of protection of rights for Ukrainian citizens.
  • Protection of the rights and interests of the community: identifying and discussing the needs of the community.
  • How to be useful to your community and participate in the implementation of the City Action Plan on the implementation of the Strategy for the protection and integration into Ukrainian society of the Roma minority for the period till 2020".
  • Projects planning and their implementation.

The members of the initiative group presented their project initiatives, discussed the difficulties they may encounter during their implementation, and possible ways of overcoming these difficulties. The participants of the trainings stressed the importance of conducting such exercises, their systematic necessity and youth involvement in the activities.
